For those who don't know us yet i would like to introduce Unit 19 to you.
Unit 19 simulates a international private military corporation specialized in armor operations. Our goal is to provide the ARMA community with high quality tank support in joint multi-role cooperative operations. We train and operate as much as the game allows us to the standards of the U.S. Army tank forces on the level of the single platoon. Our members are (ex) military which have been/are part of a tank / recon unit in real life and / or are people interested and dedicated to playing such a role in these games.
For those who are interesting in joining us, we are recruiting.
For those Unit / Clan commanders who are looking for a professional armored unit to assist them during operations, we are available.

Unit 19

With the recent growth in new personnel, Unit 19 is in need of:
two new Tank Commanders.

Requirements other then the regular member requirements:

* Have leadership experience
* Preferably have a military background
* Have a responsible attitude
* Willing to teach / instruct other members
* Willing and able to activly participate in the general development of Unit 19

The applicant will, after being accepted, first go though the Basic Armor Crewmans Course (BACC) which takes about 7 training sessions.
After that he will start his Tank Commander Course (TCC) in which he learns all game-applicable aspects of commanding a single tank crew, as part of a section or a platoon.

On Sunday 1st December Unit 19 will conduct an open event in which non-members will have the ability to see and experience how it is to be part of a professional tank crew within a tank platoon. We will be running with multiple tanks on various scenarios in which common Unit 19 tasks are going to be put to practice in cooperation with other units.

The server / operation is open to public from 19:00 to 23:00 GMT
Those who are interested in joining the event may send an email to dutch@unit19.org so we can attach you to one of the crews. The event is going to take place on a modified version of Domination. No addons needed.

On Saturday 6th March Unit 19 will again conduct an open event in which non-members will have the ability to see and experience how it is to be part of a professional tank crew within a tank platoon. We will be running with multiple tanks on various scenarios in which common Unit 19 tasks are going to be put to practice in cooperation with other ground and possibly air units.

The server / operation is open to public from 21:00 to 24:00 GMT
Those who are interested in joining the event may send an email to dutch@unit19.org so we can attach you to one of the crews. The event is going to take place on a modified and more dynamic version of Domination. The latest version of ACE2 will be required that day.

With recent developments related to server and missionmaking, Unit 19 is in need of:

A Technical Specialist / Server Manager

Requirements:

* Has experience in working with (dedicated) servers
* Has good knowledge of processes / relations between missions, addons and servers
* Is reliable and has a responsible attitude

Following the U19 full training program will not be required but if the applicant wants to be on the crew roster and follow the U19 training programs then this is possible.
